Desna has been a Town Councillor since 1999. During that time was also a North Wiltshire District Councillor and was a Wiltshire Unitary Councillor for eight years. Desna has served as a Trustee on Chippenham Borough Lands Charity for sixteen years. Her main hobby is Philately, along with reading and quizzes.
